Helping Student-Athletes Through Education
As Alumni of the University of Florida, Dr. Gilmore and his wife Laura deeply felt that one of the best ways to give back to the community was to provide an endowment to financially assist student-athletes in attaining an educational foundation for their future success at the University of Florida. By joining The Gator Boosters and providing these much needed scholarships, they have offered the same types of opportunities that Dr. Gilmore had achieved while playing as an All-American Safety for the Florida Gators football team.
About The Gator Boosters
Their mission is to strengthen the University of Florida's athletic program by encouraging private giving and volunteer leadership from Gators everywhere.
Gator Boosters is dedicated to two major goals.
First and foremost is to educate student-athletes. The organization provides scholarship funding to pay the academic costs for all scholarship athletes,
providing them with one of the finest educations available anywhere.
Secondly, they are constantly building or improving athletic facilities. The Gator Boosters are very appreciative and proud of the commitment of its membership to provide
Gator student-athletes with the opportunity to compete in one of the best overall groups of athletic facilities anywhere.
